Dior by YSL 1960 Collection, Red Mink Lined Outfit!
Yves Saint Laurents Fall/Winter 1958’s collection was not approved by many as well as his later on collections for Dior including hobble skirts. In 1960, Laurent found himself serving in the French Army during the Algerian War Of Independence, where at the time the owner of the House Of Dior and a powerful press baron, Marcel Boussac put pressure on the government and wanted Saint Laurent constripted after the disastrous 1960 season so that he could be replaced. Lasting 20 days in military before depression and illness he had been sent to a military hospital where he received the news he was fired by Dior. At this time, being in military hospital he was being given large doses of different types of drugs and subjected to electroshock therapy. Since he has been having mental problems and became a drug addict.
